NifC Programs

1.      Knowledge management
Collecting, verifying, documenting and creating space for the sharing of information and know -how for best practices among self-help groups. NifC serves as a clearing house for best practices as well as propagating useful peer learning that build the self help sector. NifC also provides groups with information pertaining to opportunities available locally and globally and links community groups to opportunities.  NifC has also founded an elementary school for poor urban children known as Great Valley Children’s Centre.

2.      Strengthening group capacities
NifC provides training to strengthen group capacities in identified areas such as leadership skills, Conflict resolution, so that they can effectively deliver their mandates.

3.      Coordination of the work of groups
NifC offers platform for joint planning and actions for community groups collectively and in thematic areas.

4.      Advocacy
NifC carries ongoing advocacy with and on behalf of community groups with view to making social services more accessible for community members.
